The Coffee Prayer
Caffeine is my shepherd;
I shall not doze.
It maketh me wake in green pastures,
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz,
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness
for it's name's sake;
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no Equal
for thou art with me;
Thy cream and thy sugar
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me
in the presence of Thy Starbucks,
Thou anointest my day with pep;
My cup runneth over.
Surely richness and taste
shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of Mocha forever.
Amen! Amen! Amen!

Thanks
Very tired
walking slow
into the coffee shop
for a cup of joe
Bumped the cup
had a bad spill
"Waitress, Waitress,
I need a refill!"
Waitress was busy
as she could be
paid no attention
to poor little me
Finally in order
to shut me up
arrived at my table
re-filled my cup
Received my bill
temper did mount
"I am a Senior Citizen,
I want my discount!"
Drinking the coffee
calmed me down
shame on you
you ornery old clown
The Coffee News made
it all worthwhile
for a generous tip
I got a nice smile

Si Si
In American stores
they can be found
Brazilian coffee beans
by the pound
We see them every day
no communication
in any way
This is a fact
it may seem outlandish
Brazilian coffee beans
speak only Spanish

Coffee is Cool
Aromatic coffee
poured from the pot
not ready to drink
much too hot
I dropped an ice cube
into the steam
then I heard
the ice cube scream
I took my spoon
and fished it out
then I heard
the ice cube shout
"Don't ever do that
again you fool
blow on the coffee
to make it cool!"
